Coast Boracay. Where to start?! Well maybe first I can start off by saying that if you are considering staying at this resort, do it. It will nourish your soul, and probably will make all of your friends jealous when they see how flawless your Instagram feed is. I’ll start from the beginning.
I was greeted at the airport and brought to the hotel through a private van and private boat! Which was a huge deal because I was not looking forward to getting on the public ferry and finding a shuttle after being at the airport all day!
When I walked into Coast, I was handed a blended drink and a cold towel. Check in was fast and easy, and my luggage was already in my room when I got there!
The room I stayed in was steps from the pool. The 4th wall of the room is basically just a window so you can choose to look at the pool from the comfort of your air conditioned room, or to have complete privacy. The bed is so comfortable that I didn’t want to ever leave it. And there is a jar of chocolates next to the bed (well there was when I got there…) and even fresh flowers in the restroom!
And my favorite part… NETFLIX!! Why don’t more hotels have Netflix?! The rain can’t ruin your vacation when you stay at Coast. A Netflix and comfy bed day are always an important part of relaxing!
When I did drag myself out of my room, it was probably because I waned to sit by the pool or walk around and take pictures of literally everything.
This is where your Instagram feed comes in. Coast will provide you with countless opportunities to make sure your pictures stand out against your friends’ usual Instagram pictures of cute-ish babies and people holding alcoholic drinks. I think some Instagram guru designed the resort because it is so hip. The walls of the building, the cute Christmas tree in the lobby, the pool, the chairs, the floor! I was taking pictures of the floor. Is this my all time low or all time high?
Food time. Breakfast is included at Coast. Picture this: a big buffet filled with fresh fruit, homemade yogurt, waffles and the cutest pancakes ever, breakfast pizza, overnight oats, salads, breads, cereal, eggs benedict, and an omelet bar. Okay, yeah you caught me. I did go to the breakfast buffet two separate times every morning. I think the staff was judging me… but I’m on vacation okay!!
For lunch, I had a tuna poke bowl which was amazing. It was so fresh and delicious. I also had dinner one night on the beach, and had drinks out on the sand every night. The view is perfect. Absolutely perfect.
Coast is steps away from the beach. Probably like 4 steps to be exact. I could see the ocean from the doorway of my room, and I woke up at 6am every morning to enjoy the beach before everyone else was there.
I need to devote a whole section to how amazing the staff is. From the moment I met them at the airport until days after I checked out and was staying at another hotel, the staff absolutely blew me away. They were so friendly and kind. Traveling solo can get lonely, but I felt like I was surrounded by friends I had known for a long time. I got told “good morning” more times than I could count. A lot of the staff even knew me by name! Since it’s a smaller resort, the staff really had time to get to know me. On my second day at breakfast, they even remembered my drink order from the day before! I also mentioned to someone that I just finished yoga school, and in a few hours there was a yoga mat waiting for me in my room. The staff truly goes above and beyond.
Thank you so much to Coast Boracay for having me!  I hope one day I will be back again!
